What is Zero Budget Natural Farming?

• It is a method of farming where the cost of growing and harvesting plants is zero. This means that farmers need not purchase fertilizers and pesticides in order to ensure the healthy growth of crops.
• It was originally promoted by agriculturist Subhash Palekar, who is promoting it since the mid-1990s as an alternative to the Green Revolution’s methods.
• The main aim of ZBNF is eliminate use of chemical pesticides and uses biological pesticides and promote of good agronomic practices.
